2012 we will discuss two strands of philosophical thought:
"Philosophy
& Rights"
and
"Mind
& Brain"

Starting
Saturday May 12 and continuing until July 28
The
2012 season of talks will be divided into one talks
on a politcal
aspect of philosophy (should we have a Bill of Rights?),
followed by five talks on cognitive
philosophy, presenting the latest information and
ideas about the brain and consciousness.
A seventh talk will be presented by younger philosophers.
Details will be posted on
this site shortly. The Forum is initiating greater involvement
by young philosophers
this year. They will take part in panel discussions
after the talks.
We
are also holding a series of informal meetings, coffee
mornings,
lunches, etc, for those interested in discussing philosophical
matters.
